Macedonian Community Council of Victoria elects Mr. Goran Torbakov as its President
It is with great pleasure to announce that the Macedonian Community Council of Victoria on its meeting held on 23/11/2010 elected its Executive Member team with Goran Torbakov as President.
On the appointment Mr. Torbakov outlined his vision for the Macedonian Community Council of Victoria for the next 2 years – “It has been a great privilege, honor and pride to be able to serve on the Board of the Macedonian Community Council for Melbourne and Victoria, the real joy and feeling of success for me has been to see our community spirit grow and see how united we have become as a community. It certainly requires more work, which will be highlighted and communicated to you all in the coming weeks. The Macedonian Community Council of Melbourne and Victoria will continue to focus and work on the issues that concern our community and deliver on changes needed for the prosperity and betterment of all Macedonians in Victoria
He also acknowledged the departure of some previous Board members who have had enormous contribution in the past 12 months without whom the success that we had was not possible. In particular the retirement of Mr. Koste Kolevski who has been one of the veterans of the organization for many years.
“I’ m looking forward in working with all current members of the Board and delivering on all the strategic tasks in the next term as well as working and listening to the Macedonian community and trying achieve a more transparent and cohesive Macedonian Community in Victoria.
